Whānau and Parent Expectations

1.19 Ngā Mātua / Whānau Expectations to TKKM o Ngaa Papaonekura

1.19.1 TAM 1.2 Tino motuhake enei ahuatanga katoa. Ko tenei hoki te kakano iruia mai i Rangiatea. E kore ia e ngaro. Engari, ko tā ngā mātua, ko tā te whānau, ko tā te kura hoki, he mea awhi, he mea whāngai, he mea whakaako i te tamaiti kia tupu ora ai tona katoa i roto, i te tika me temaungarongo.

1.19.2 Ngā mātua / Whānau expectations within this policy should be understood in association with conduct below.

1.19.3 I have read and understood the following points:

  • I will not bring our tamaiti/tamariki to TKKM o Ngaa Papaonekura in the event of sickness or any illness.
  • I authorise TKKM o Ngaa Papaonekura to administer medication provided by me for my tamaiti and in the event of accidents take medical advice as the TKKM o Ngaa Papaonekura may think necessary.
  • I will notify the kura if my child is to be absent
  • I agree to give one weeks’ notice before withdrawing my child from TKKM o Ngaa Papaonekura.
  • I will notify the kura if there are any changes in address or phone number.
  • I give permission for my child to leave school premises to attend school trips and functions according to the EOTC “Education Outside the Classroom Policy”
  • I give permission for my child to attend adolescent health programmes as directed by the school.
  • We will attend Te Aho Matua Wānanga and assist in its implementation into our home environment.
  • We will attend monthly hui whānau; in the event of our absence, we will send a representative from our whānau or register our apologies at the school office before the hui starts.
  • We will participate in Ohu Whānau and contribute to the wellbeing of TKKM o Ngaa Papaonekura.
  • We will support our child to uphold and follow all the rules, regulations and Tikanga of TKKM o Ngaa Papaonekura.
  • We understand that our child’s enrolment at TKKM o Ngaa Papaonekura is a privilege, and understand that their actions and attitude will determine their ongoing enrolment at this Kura Kaupapa Māori.
  • We will support the kura regarding discipline matters and arrangements regarding our child.
  • I will support my child by providing him/her with an appropriate space for homework.
